Where were YOU in 1972?

Cactus Flower is celebrating its 40 year anniversary this summer. That's right, Cactus Flower has been serving the Valley since 1972! We're kicking off our celebration and that you join us on a trip back to the groovy era that was the 70's.

So, where were you in 1972? Were you rockin' out to Don McLean? Were you watching the first season of The Waltons? Or was it the year you were born? Send us a story or photo of you in the 70's, and we'll include it in our 40th Anniversary Album. We're looking for any kind of photo or story (some of the Phoenix area would be especially great!) that brings us back to the year the Luoma family built the first Cactus Flower on Scottsdale Rd.

We have no idea who any of these people are, but they are groovy!
BONUS: Just for sharing with us, you'll be entered in to win a Cactus Flower arrangement AND a $150 gift card to Dominick's Steakhouse!

All you need to do is email us at with your story or photo by June 10, 2012. Please note that your email gives us permission to publish your content on our social media channels and in our stores.

Thanks for sharing, Cactus Flower family. You're far out!

How Are You Going to Thank Your Mom?

It may be the hardest job in the world, but most moms would agree that being a mom is best job they'll ever have. So how do you thank her for the sleepness nights and sacrifices she made to raise you?

Mother's Day is May 13th. Acknowledge her hard work with a gift as beautiful as she is. Cactus Flower offers exclusive designs you won't find at any other Phoenix florist. From traditional flower arrangements in soft pastels, to modern compact arrangements, we have gifts for every style of mom.

Is your Mom traditional in her style? Send her the Downton Abbey.

Is your mom fun and full of energy? She'll like the Neon Explosion.

If your mom is earth-friendly or has a green thumb, she'll appreciate this succulent garden.

If your mom has sophisticated taste, she'll be smitten with the Capitvated arrangement.

However you thank her, make sure you do it in a way in which she'll feel appreciated. Moms like that, you know.
